Why Are We Called Leeland?

Leeland Valley is named in memory of Leland S. (Lee) King. Until his death in 1979, Lee and his wife Peggy worked with exceptional energy to develop their farm, now Leeland ("Lee's Land") Valley.  Many in Frankfort remember Lee as Good Shepherd School's librarian. "Lee Land" also has another meaning: a "place of shelter."  We hope that you and your group will experience some of the shelter, peace, and security of nature at Leeland Valley.
